Our Vision
The Vision of United Homeless Healthcare Partners is to solve
the homeless healthcare crisis in Los Angeles County by:
- Supporting the providers of healthcare services throughout
the region in building stronger networks, leveraging resources,
and ensuring that healthcare services are accessible to the
homeless residents of Los Angeles County.
- Advocating for policies that support both the homeless
healthcare providers’ ability to provide services and the
homeless individuals’ ability to receive these services.
- Serving as a strong and unified voice within Los Angeles
County to expand the dollars solicited and spent for homeless
healthcare in this region.
Our Beginnings
Formed as the result of a strategic planning project under the auspices of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, UHHP became a network in early 2006. Since then, the organization has completed the strategic plan, presented a conference on systems and service delivery integration for more than 200 participants, prepared an analysis of policy issues concerning homeless healthcare, and has achieved a membership of more than one hundred organizations.
