current activities and future goals.

UHHP Policy Development Progress and Next Steps

Yolanda Vera (Los Angeles Health Action) and Dana Knoll (Watts Heal=

Care Corp.) will outline their committee's work in addressing the "moving targets" of health ca=
re
policy and "reform." They will also lead a discussi=
on
to gather input about advocacy training for UHHP that is planned for
members in the next few months.=

SSI Disability Training
Service
Delivery Co-Chair, Mark Casanova (Homeless Healthcare Los Angeles) =
will
provide a SSI Disability training update and discuss UHHP plans to
offer training in May, June, or July.

What's Going On Around the County?=
Participants
will hear about exciting developments in several areas of the count=
y as
new networks are developing and existing groups are expan=
ding
and implementing their plans. Pat Bowie will lead a discussion
about the need for different models of community engagement to addr=
ess
urban and suburban needs, as well as the differing needs of the chr=
onic
homeless and the "temporarily and/or economically" homele=
ss
residents of our county.

There
is exciting work going on in the Service Delivery, Policy Developme=
nt,
and Organization Development Committees. Spend a few minutes
